THE HISTORY OF WIKIPEDIA

We all use it, but we have no idea what is it, who invented it or what is the concept behind it....Wikipedia.

This is a perfect example of the power of collaboration and the new knowledge construction we are facing today. People around the world are studing, learning and experiencing life in different ways and a plataform like wikipedia allows people to show and share their experiences.

In Wikipedia, the integration and comunication of knowledge happens despite distance, race, religion, nationality, weather, political views or nuclear weapons posessions... it happens just with the idea of sharing and creating virtual comunities that believe in the power, or what I would call, the magic of colaboration.

I´m so grateful with Ward Cunnigham, Jimmy Wales, Larry Sanger and everyone that contributed to create this new concept of learning and knowledge that has helped me a lot with my homework!
